HEX is a lampshade assembled from just two types of die-cut polypropylene components — no glue, no fixings.
The design explores how a flat sheet, when folded and interlocked, can become a rigid three-dimensional structure. The concept draws on the principles of origami: rigidity achieved through geometry rather than material thickness.
By limiting the design to two component types, the challenge was to create a complex, unified form from the simplest possible kit of parts.
