TRUSS

TRUSS is a lampshade composed of 921 interlocking components, laser-cut from MDF sheets.

To minimise waste, all components share a single repeated pattern that tiles across the material sheet without any gaps — a design principle drawn from both geometry and sustainability.

The structure takes inspiration from space frame engineering, creating a large, lightweight and rigid form from identical flat parts. When lit, its geometric pattern casts intricate shadows onto the ceiling and walls.
